Get out of the trees and see the magnificent Tongass National Rainforest by Ketchikan helicopters on the exclusive Ketchikan Combo Helicopter Tour. This stunning and exciting combination of Alaska helicopter tours will fly inland from Ketchikan across Revillagigedo Island, for a close-up view of the stunning Mahoney falls and perhaps the opportunity to catch a glimpse of some elusive Alaskan wildlife, especially mountain goats as they climb along the nearby cliffs. From here, continue south over stunning mountains as you pass the Southernmost tip of the Island before soaring over Inside Passage Waters on your way to Annette Island Reserve. Here, your Alaska helicopter tour will stop for a magnificent view atop the highest peak on the mountain! You’ll be able to see all the way back to Ketchikan, as well as across to other neighboring Islands. Explore this lush tundra landscape for 10 minutes before returning to your helicopter. On your return journey, be prepared to be treated to more stunning Inside Passage scenery and wildlife, before being returned right to your cruise dock for a worry-free Ketchikan Combo Helicopter Tour.

To begin your Ketchikan Combo Helicopter Tour, your guides will greet you directly at the cruise docks to start your tour. From there, you will receive a 10-minute safety briefing so you know exactly what to expect before hopping in the Ketchikan helicopters that will take you on your journey. From takeoff to landing, you will have 30 minutes in the air to take in the sites of Revillagigedo and the surrounding Inside passage islands. You’ll pass by the plunging Mahoney Falls for a wonderful photo opportunity before continuing on your way South. Your combination of Alaska helicopter tours will eventually take you to the landing platform on the peak of the Annette Island Reserve, a beautiful Alaskan wilderness featuring stunning rainforest and wildlife opportunities. Here you’ll spend 10 minutes exploring the landscape, taking photos, and learning about the area from your knowledgeable pilots. On your return journey, keep your eyes trained out the window throughout your tour for more breathtaking views of the Inside Passage, and possibly even some marine wildlife! At the end of your Ketchikan Combo Helicopter Tour, you will be returned right to your cruise, for a worry-free, high-flying, and thrilling day of Alaska helicopter tours.

Will we make it back to the ship in time? What if we don't?

Answer: We've never left anyone behind and only schedule tours that work well with your cruise ship's itinerary. We leave plenty of cushion so you can confidently book your trips independently.

Do the flights ever get canceled due to weather?

Answer: Yes, safety is a number one priority so weather conditions are taken into account each day. In certain cases, the weather can lift and a slight delay will still allow the flight to continue. However, if a flight is canceled completely due to weather circumstances, you will always receive a full refund.

What if our ship is delayed or doesn't make it into port? Refund?

Answer: It's very rare that a ship is delayed into port, but in those cases, we will try our best to work with you to reschedule the tour to a later time. If that is not a possibility or your ship doesn't make it into port, we will of course refund the full cost of the tour.

What should we wear and bring?

Answer: For comfort, we typically recommend long pants, closed-toed shoes and a jacket, as the air temperature will be a few degrees cooler than the ground temperature.

Can you see wildlife from the helicopter?

Answer: If you have sharp eyes, it's certainly possible to see wildlife on the mountains below. The helicopter flies low enough to distinguish individual animals, but of course the pilots have to respect local wildlife so it's not an objective of this tour.

    How big are the helicopters?

Answer: There are a few types of helicopters used for the tour, and you'll typically be in a group of 3 guests on the flight. Multiple helicopters can be used for larger groups.
