Your four and a half hour Traitor’s Cove Bear Viewing tour begins with convenient pickup right by the cruise docks for transportation to the waterfront base. Here, you’ll receive a short safety briefing before loading up in your 6 to 10 passenger aircraft for a scenic flight across Revillagigedo Island to Traitor’s Cove. Upon arrival, you’ll load up in a van with your knowledgeable guide for a 1-mile drive along a forest service road. From here, it’s just a short nature walk along a boardwalk before the real fun begins, wildlife sightings! Because of its position above a salmon-filled creek, Margarete Creek Bear Viewing Platform is one of the premier places for bear watching Ketchikan offers. And it’s not just bears that you’ll see, as you’ll want to keep your eyes peeled for the Alaskan salmon as they swim their way upstream, and the other animals taking advantage of the feast including bald eagles and other native bird species. With limited forest service permitting and 3 hours spent on site, the Traitor’s Cove Bear Viewing tour is an exclusive one you’ll certainly remember for a lifetime.
