The drive from Skagway Alaska up and over White Pass into the grandeur and beauty of British Columbia’s alpine landscape is one of the world’s greatest scenic journeys. The Yukoner Half-Day Tour, which passes along the Klondike Highway through wilderness dotted with crystal-clear glacial lakes, includes all the scenic wonders of the White Pass Summit Tour but ventures even further into British Columbia, taking you right up to the Yukon border. Follow in the footsteps of the Klondike Gold Rush stampeders of 1898, but in comfort, as you cross the 3292-foot summit of White Pass into the subarctic alpine tundra of Canada’s stunning Tormented Valley. Towering peaks, dramatic alpine lakes, and wildlife often come into sight as the drive continues through the Northern Boreal Forest wilderness and along the shores of Lakes Tutshi and Tagish. Along the way, your guide will fill you in on local history until your 50-mile journey inland reaches the Yukon border. After a photo opportunity beside the famous sign, get your binoculars ready for the return journey so you don’t miss a thing!

The Yukoner Half-Day Tour packs a lot of punch in just 4 hours. This 100-mile round trip is a relaxing way to experience a taste of the Alaskan and Canadian wilderness, see some amazing wildlife, and learn about the history of the region. You’ll even stop at the famous Yukon Suspension Bridge! With two departures daily from the cruise docks in Skagway Alaska, you’ll have the opportunity to either fit another excursion into your day or simply spend time before or after exploring charming Skagway at your own pace.
