The Premium Sitka Scenic Tour starts with full narration from when you step in the 10 passenger Nissan NV van in Sitka’s beautiful downtown. From here, your first stop is Silver bay, known for beautiful photo ops, and occasional marine wildlife sightings. Keep your eyes peeled for whales, sea otters, and more! From here, travel to Fortress of the Bear where you will have the chance to watch rescued Coastal Brown Bears. You’ll learn the stories of these orphaned bears, and more information about the breed as a whole. The Premium Sitka Scenic Tour will then venture to the Alaska Raptor Center for up-close viewings of America’s mascot: the Bald Eagle. This rehabilitation center caters to Eagles, owls, ravens, and hawks which you’ll be able to see up close & learn all about. Finally, head on over to the Sitka National Historic Park for a walk among the totem poles, views of the Indian River, and lessons on the lifecycle of Alaskan salmon. Answer: The total duration of this activity is 2.5 hours.

What should I wear and how to prepare for this tour?

Answer: Layered clothing, comfortable shoes and a warm hat. Sun glasses, camera, binoculars, gloves, and rain gear are suggested.

Is this tour wheelchair accessible?

What if it rains? Do the trips get canceled?

Answer: Southeast Alaska is known for rain, and we would never do anything if we stopped for the rain. Please do not let the possibility of rain deter you from booking. Southeast Alaska is at its most beautiful on misty rainy days.

What if our ship is delayed or doesn't make it into port? Refund?

Answer: It's very rare that a ship is delayed into port, but in those cases, we will try our best to work with you to reschedule the tour to a later time. If that is not a possibility or your ship doesn't make it into port, we will refund you.
