Your Sitka Marine Adventure begins right from the docks near downtown Sitka, where you will meet your guide and climb aboard your 26-foot vessel. From here, you’ll have 2 full hours of exploration with your captain, searching the seas for marine life from whales to sea lions to otters and more! Your catamaran features a heated inside to protect you from Alaska’s variable weather, but with only 6 guests, everyone still has wonderful views of what’s happening outside! Along the way, you’ll be provided with a light snack and water bottle to keep you energized throughout. As you venture through the waters of the Pearl of the Pacific, as Sitka is often coined, you’ll be entertained with knowledge and stories from your captain, learning all about the local area. Answer: The total duration of this activity is 2 hours.

What should I wear and how to prepare for this tour?

Answer: Layered clothing, comfortable shoes and a warm hat. Sun glasses, camera, binoculars, gloves, and rain gear are suggested.

Is this tour wheelchair accessible?

Answer: This tour is not wheelchair accessible. If you need a wheelchair accessible tour, please consider booking a Private Sitka Scenic Premium Tour.

What if it rains? Do the trips get canceled?

Answer: Southeast Alaska is known for rain, and we would never do anything if we stopped for the rain. Please do not let the possibility of rain deter you from booking. Southeast Alaska is at its most beautiful on misty rainy days. Tours will be cancelled if conditions are unsafe. A refund shall be made if the tour is cancelled.

What other restrictions apply to this tour?

What if our ship is delayed or doesn't make it into port? Refund?

Answer: It's very rare that a ship is delayed into port, but in those cases, we will try our best to work with you to reschedule the tour to a later time. If that is not a possibility or your ship doesn't make it into port, we will refund you.
