Grizzly Falls Ziplining Expedition

For More Information

Mon - Sat 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Get a running start, then launch into flight among the treetops of the Alaskan rainforest on the fast, fun and very exhilarating Grizzly Falls Ziplining Expedition! Don’t be timid; the guides handle the braking while you zoom up to 30 miles per hour through the woods and over glacially fed waterfalls — so close you’ll feel the mist as you fly by! One of the best Skagway excursions for thrillseekers and nature lovers, the Grizzly Falls Ziplining Expedition will take you soaring through a course of 11 ziplines, the longest of these stretching 750ft through the canopy! Stop for breath along the way at four state-of-the-art suspension bridges, perfect spots for taking in the beauty of the wilderness and capturing some stunning photos. Plus there’s more to this four-hour adventure than ziplining: getting up and down the steep and rugged mountain road to the base camp aboard a customized Unimog all-wheel drive vehicle is an adventure in itself!

Following pick-up at your cruise ship, your outing — one that adventure-lovers say is among our best Skagway excursions — begins with a scenic 11-mile drive to historic Dyea, a once-thriving Gold Rush hub. Here you’ll learn about the fascinating history of the town in its heyday before hopping aboard a monster Unimog for the exhilarating ride up a rugged mountain road toward the zipline course. On the mountaintop, you’ll be suited up in safety gear and instructed by expert guides on what to expect during the course. After successfully completing the adventure, stop in at the base camp café for coffee or a snack. Then share your exciting experiences on the Grizzly Falls Ziplining Expedition with others during the Unimog ride back downhill and the return trip to the Skagway cruise docks. Join us for a one-of-a-kind zipline expedition, and you’ll understand why we’re confident in calling this one of our best Skagway excursions!

OMG! So Cool!!This was AWESOME!! My husband and I took our two sons ( ages 11 & 9). The staff was patient and kind as they answered my son’s eleventy questions. He has autism and tends to be anxious when he doesn’t know what to expect. Sydney and her partner ( I can’t remember his name!) were amazing with him.
The scenery was spectacular, the staff was super fun and safe. We would highly recommend this for your family or even by yourself. Fabulous!

So Much FunThis was my first-time ziplining experience and it'll be a hard one to top. We got a little mini tour of Skagway with lots of great information from Austin, our driver, on our 20-minute drive up to the site and then we had a blast with Lego and Anna up on the lines. They made it fun and not at all scary and seemed to be having a great time themselves. Because we finished up early, Lego looped us back through the last three lines so we could do them again. The scenery was gorgeous - lush, green, and replete with a waterfall.

We booked directly with Grizzly Falls (not through the cruise line) and it was flawless. I highly recommend this tour AND this company.

An amazing experience!I'm afraid I don't remember the very tall thin girl that was one of our guides, but she and her partner were friggin' awesome. I ran this trip with 27 members of a ski club, unfortunately, only four of us were daring enough to zip line. The rest of us chose to participate in your sled dog adventure instead. This was simply amazing and beautiful. I've zip lined in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico before, but this was a whole different experience. Well worth it. We, the Seacoast Ski Club, booked all of our tours without the aid of the cruise ship and used Alaska Shore Tours for three of our four ports. A pleasure to work with.

Great time!First time ever Zip lining and we (Mom, Dad, and three kiddos) had a blast. Van driver, Thomas, was a hoot and the "Girls Team" rocked. Even the coffee at the base camp was worth the trip. Thanks to everyone for a memorable time.

What fun!!!Our family of 10 did this excursion on our cruise, May 28,2018. It was fantastic and so much fun! The staff was very well trained, very prepared for each run down the ziplines. We felt safe at all times. The ride up to the ziplines was a good time as well. Beautiful views along the way. We had a great time and would highly recommend this tour.
