Description

Considering that the historic route up White Pass Summit and into Canada's wild Yukon Territory features some of the world's most stunning scenery and is thought by many to be among Earth's great drives, it's no wonder that this Skagway private tour is in high demand! The Private Emerald Lake & Dogsledding Tour, which parallels the standard Private Emerald Lake Tour but also includes an exclusive dogsledding experience, allows guests to explore en-route to the frontier town of Carcross in their own private vehicle. This 7-hour adventure will take you past towering spruce forests, glaciated peaks, crystal-blue lakes, and tumbling falls. What's more, your personal expert guide will customize the excursion to meet your group's exact needs, meaning you can stop and explore whenever it suits you! Yukon tours from Skagway don't come more exclusive, more scenic, or more fun than this one.

This special Skagway private tour starts with pick-up from the location of your choosing in your personal coach. Then it's off to the 67-mile White Pass Route, which parallels the historic Yukon Railroad, for one of the more scenic road trips in all of North America. You'll be following in the tracks of the 1898 Klondike Gold Rushers as you move into the Yukon, pulling off whenever you like while your knowledgeable local guide answers any questions you may have. Stops at Emerald Lake and the stunning Southern Lakes region are sure to be highlights! Unlike with other private Yukon tours from Skagway, you'll also enjoy a visit to a real Alaskan mushers' camp! Here you'll have the chance to meet the husky athletes themselves, to hear edge-of-your-seat Iditarod tales from their trainers, and to take a ride through the rainforest on a wheeled dogsled! Later on, in Carcross, you'll have time to explore a truly unique frontier town under the direction of your expert guide. And with this special Skagway private tour, there's no hurry to get back: you'll have the chance to take in all the history and scenery you can handle! This exclusive full-day excursion is limited to a maximum of 11 people, so, as for other Yukon tours from Skagway, advance bookings are recommended. Also note that base price is for the entire group, rather than per person. See the Additional Information tab for more detailed cost information.
