Description
The Denali Wilderness Survival Tour is an adventure unlike any other, designed for those who crave an authentic, hands-on experience in the Alaskan wilderness. This is not a commercialized tour filled with buses and boardwalks—this is real, off-trail exploration, where you'll step into Denali’s untouched landscapes and learn the skills needed to thrive in the wild. With Alaska Shore Tours, you’ll go beyond sightseeing and dive deep into the heart of survival and self-reliance.
As you venture into the boreal forest, the soft peat moss beneath your boots creates the sensation of walking on a natural cushion. Your expert guide will lead you through dense woodlands, pointing out edible plants and berries along the way. Ever heard of a cloudberry? With its unique banana-cream flavor, it's just one of the many wild foods you'll learn to identify and forage for yourself. By the end of the tour, you’ll have the knowledge to recognize dozens of edible plants—a skill that may come in handy for the rest of your Alaska adventure.
But survival isn’t just about finding food. Your guide will take you to a secluded clearing where you'll learn to build a shelter that can withstand Denali’s harsh climate. You’ll discover how the indigenous Athabaskans preserved their food, and you’ll hear incredible stories of survival, including the true tale of Chris McCandless, whose journey ended just miles from where you sit. On this Alaska shore tour, you don’t just hear about survival—you experience it.
This tour isn’t just about hiking; it’s about stepping into the mindset of a true wilderness explorer. Book your Denali Wilderness Survival Tour today and gain skills, stories, and a connection to the land that will stay with you forever.
