Description

Get ready to get wild in the far reaches of the world. The Denali Wilderness ATV tour takes you through the iconic landscape outside Denali. With views of the Alaska Range, Otto Lake, Healy Valley & more. From paths through beautiful forests, overlooks with 360-degree views, and creek beds with open areas for adventure, you’ll get a comprehensive Denali ATV experience. Cruising at speeds up to 30 miles per hour, you’ll explore in your choice of vehicle, from a single-person ATV up to a 6-person side-by-side. Wildlife is abundant! So keep your eyes peeled for eagles & watch for Moose on the trail. With all that and more, this Denali ATV experience will have you awed, thrilled, and energized. Exactly what you should feel in the great state of Alaska!

Beginning with a convenient pick-up from several locations in the area, your Denali Wilderness ATV tour will last a total of about 2½ hours. After the shuttle to the base, you’ll receive a thorough safety briefing & gear up from your guides. From here, get ready for 1½ hours of adventure! Covering about 10 miles of terrain, you’ll venture through creek beds (weather permitting), forests, and ridgelines alike. As you go, your guides will be sure to take multiple stops for views, pictures, and driver swaps, so everyone gets to enjoy the ride. Whether novice or expert, your guides are there to provide a uniquely Alaskan experience. So suit up, and join this Denali ATV adventure!

How to Book: When booking your Denali Wilderness ATV, rather than selecting the number of guests in your party, please select the number and size of ATVs you would like for your group. Our ATVs range in size from single-rider to 6-person vehicles. You will pay a per-vehicle fee. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to our agents for clarity or to secure your booking!

Frequently Asked Questions

How large can groups be? Is there a minimum of people to join this group?
There is a minimum of two and a maximum of twelve vehicles per tour. For larger groups, a middle guide will be provided to ensure the safety and comfort of all participants. This additional guide will help ensure that everyone can enjoy the tour without any worries.
How old do you need to be to participate in this tour?
Though not everyone can drive one of the ATVs, all ages are invited to join in the fun as passengers. Please let us know if you require a booster seat or any other special accommodation.
Is there a minimum age for driving the ATVs?
Anyone over 18, or 16 with parental consent, can drive one of the single ATVs, provided they have a valid driver's license. To drive the side-by-sides, you must be 21 (or 18 with parental consent) and possess a valid driver's license.
Does my booking include transportation?
Round-trip transportation is included with your booking from a selection of nearby hotels and locations. We will provide you with exact details once you have booked and paid for the tour.
Can we see Denali from the trail?
Unfortunately, due to the positioning of the trails along the majestic Alaska Range, the awe-inspiring Denali is not visible.
What if I need a restroom stop during the tour?
There are no restroom facilities along the trail, just Mother Nature. If you need assistance, alert the nearest guide with hand signals, and they will direct you to a suitable area.
Will I get dirty? Do I need to dress in a specific way?
While how dirty you'll get depends on your speed and the weather conditions of the day, it's safe to say you'll get quite messy. To ensure you're prepared for the tour, dress appropriately in closed-toe shoes, long pants, and multiple layers to keep warm. Also, remember to bring a waterproof jacket to stay dry, as Alaskan weather can be unpredictable.
What if I have never been on an ATV before? Can I still drive?
The tour guides will provide a comprehensive training course before embarking on the trail. If any party members feel uncomfortable driving after the introduction, we will pair you with another group or the guide in a side-by-side vehicle.
