Description
Glide along coastal roads and into the lush green heart of Alaska’s Tongass National Forest on this three-hour guided e-bike journey. Designed for all ability levels, this small-group adventure combines effortless riding with rich storytelling, sweeping scenery, and a peaceful forest walk through one of the world’s largest temperate rainforests.
Your experience begins with pickup near the Goldbelt Tramway and a narrated drive to Douglas Island. Here, your local guide will set you up with a comfortable pedal-assist mountain e-bike, helmet, and a quick safety briefing. Once ready, you’ll pedal along a smooth, paved shoreline path where glacier-carved vistas, wildflower meadows, and towering spruce trees unfold around every turn. Frequent stops provide time for photos and stories about the natural and cultural history of Juneau.
Midway through, step off the bikes for a short guided walk beneath the rainforest canopy. The trail leads to a secluded beach, where you can savor the salty breeze, listen to the surf, and capture the perfect shot of Alaska’s wild coastline.
Afterward, hop back on your e-bike for the return ride to town, ending your adventure right back in downtown Juneau. With the pedal assist, you control how much effort you put in—making this tour ideal for both active explorers and casual cruisers who want to cover more ground without the strain of a challenging hike. Along the way, your guide shares stories and insights that bring Juneau’s landscapes and culture to life.
