This four-hour private boat trip lets guests experience Sitka’s water and coastline without sharing with others. It’s relaxed, flexible, and adapts to the day’s conditions on the water.
You’ll head out from downtown Sitka on a comfortable, heated boat reserved just for you. There’s no set route and no strict schedule. We follow the weather, the tides, and the wildlife. Some days that means slowing down to watch a humpback whale surface nearby. Other times, we might drift quietly past sea otters wrapped in kelp or scan the shoreline for sea lions, bald eagles, and seabirds. There’s plenty of time to ask questions, take photos, or just sit back and watch.
Halfway through, we stop at a remote island most visitors never see. You’ll have the beach to yourselves for an easy, unhurried walk. Explore tide pools, wander driftwood beaches, or find a quiet spot. Snacks and warm drinks are provided, and there’s no rush.
On the way back, we take a different route through Sitka Sound. This often brings new scenery and more wildlife sightings. The return is usually calm and reflective. By the time you reach the harbor, it feels less like a tour and more like a meaningful day out on the water with a local expert.
