Description
The Klondike Bike and Beer Tour is a relaxed ride that lets you see a lot of Skagway without rushing. You’ll explore town on electric bikes, which give you a little extra boost when pedaling. That makes the ride comfortable and easy for most people who already know how to ride a bike.
We begin in downtown Skagway with a quick introduction to the bikes and a short safety talk. Once everyone feels comfortable, we start riding through town. Skagway is small but full of history, and riding by bike is one of the best ways to see it. As we move through the historic streets and along the waterfront, your guide shares stories about the Gold Rush days and the people who once passed through here.
Along the route, we stop at several well-known spots. One stop is the Gold Rush Cemetery, where some famous characters from Skagway’s early days are buried. Not far from there is Lower Reid Falls, a peaceful waterfall surrounded by forest. We also make our way to a scenic overlook above town where you can take in views of Skagway, the harbor, and the mountains around it.
Near the end of the ride, we visit Klondike Brewing Company. Here you can relax with the group and enjoy a flight of locally brewed beers while talking about the ride and the places you’ve seen.
The pace stays easy throughout the three-hour tour, with plenty of stops for photos, stories, and enjoying the scenery.
