Description

Let your senses awaken to sights and sounds of Alaska that can only be experienced on two wheels with the White Pass Klondike Bike tour! Retrace the route taken by thousands of gold-crazed stampeders during the rush of 1898, as you wind your way through the magnificent Skagway Valley up to the awe-inspiring summit of White Pass. Then, get on your bike and coast back down the Klondike Highway for a one and a half hour ride, stopping along the way to take in historic sites, cascading waterfalls, massive glaciers, and bucketfuls of fresh air against the backdrop of the majestic Sawtooth mountain range. You also get to cross the U.S. border on a bicycle! Voted one of the best Skagway shore excursions by numerous satisfied visitors, and at an unbeatable price, it’s a great way to experience the great Northern outdoors with expert guides and a small group setting.

Begin your journey with a twenty-five minute narrated van ride through historic Skagway and up the coastal mountains to the summit. Enjoy a scenic panorama of snow-topped mountains, glaciers, gorges, waterways, tunnels, and points of historic interest. See the original Klondike Trail, worn by the footfalls of the thousands who tramped along the route with dreams of making their fortune. Upon arriving at the summit, your guides go over a bicycle orientation and safety briefing before escorting the group on the downhill cruise back to Skagway. Along the way, the guides will fill you in on fascinating details of this breathtaking region and entertain you with tales of exciting episodes from the rollicking days of the Klondike Gold Rush. A tour that history- and nature-lovers say is among our best Skagway shore excursions, the White Pass Klondike Bike tour is sure to be a highlight of your Alaskan adventure!
