Your naturalist guide shares their knowledge of the native plants and wildlife as you journey through the alpine forest. You’ll also learn about the fascinating glacial history of Alaska while the snow-capped mountains of the White Pass provide a stunning backdrop to your two-hour hike. Enjoy a light snack at the midway point as you gaze over the Skagway Valley, White Pass, and Lynn Canal. Stretch your sea legs and enjoy a beautiful adventure with plenty of time left in your day to partake in other Alaska excursions Skagway offers!

The Skagway Adventure Hike includes roundtrip transportation and begins with pickup right next to the cruise ship pier. Then, enjoy an educational town tour as you make your way through Skagway and up the White Pass along the Klondike Highway. Among the popular Alaska excursions Skagway offers is the White Pass Summit Excursion, which buses visitors to the summit and back, but guests on the Skagway Adventure Hike are awarded extra-special scenery you just can’t get without taking to the trail! Trekking poles are provided and steeper areas have hand-lines to help you with your ascent to the top. Binoculars are available and don’t forget your camera, because it’s truly gorgeous on this trail in the alpine Tongass rainforest. Additionally, your experienced naturalist guide will make frequent stops to teach you about the local ecosystem while you catch your breath with Alaska’s crisp, fresh mountain air.
