Your Inside Passage Kayak adventure begins when you meet your guides in Skagway. From here, you will hop on the Fast Ferry for a quick and stunning ride over to the picturesque town of Haines. Upon arrival, it is just a short walk from the Fast Ferry dock to the bay where you will launch your kayaks. Here, your guides will determine which style of kayak is best suited to the conditions and talk you through everything you need to know for this portion of the tour. Then you are off into the ocean waters for a gorgeous paddle, with a multitude of wildlife opportunities, including seals, porpoises, eagles, and even the occasional humpback whale! You will make your way over to the Small Boat Harbor in Skagway, just a short distance from the cruise docks, to meet your guides and begin your tour.
You'll hop on the local Fast Ferry for transfer from Skagway to Haines, a scenic boat ride with beautiful views of the Lynn Canal.
Once in Haines, you'll end over to the beach to gear up, use the restroom if necessary, and get a brief orientation on safety and sea kayaking from your guides.
You'll then enjoy sea kayaking for 2 full hours. You will kayak along the Lynn Canal. If you are lucky, there will plenty of wildlife opportunities including seals, porpoises, eagles, and more.
Return to the private beach for a picnic style lunch. Be sure to bring your camera along to take photos of your group and the stunning scenery around you.
From the beach, your guides will escort you back to the Fast Ferry dock for transfer back to the Small Boat Harbor in Skagway, just a short walk from your cruise dock.
