Description

Kenai Fjords National Park is one of the most beautiful areas in all of Alaska, and the sights on the water cannot be missed! If wildlife sightings are on your Alaskan bucket list, look no further than this incredible 4-Hour Kenai Fjords Wildlife Cruise. From sea otters to sea lions, whales to porpoises, bald eagles, and puffins, the opportunities to see many of these amazing animals abound. In addition to the local wildlife, you’ll bask in the stunning scenery of Resurrection Bay and the mountain peaks surrounding it. Sail the calm waters of the bay as your captain and guides share their knowledge and guide you along the best route for views of the picturesque landscape and its natural inhabitants. Keep an eye out for orcas, humpback whales, sea lions, harbor seals, puffins, and seabirds of all sorts!

Meet your captain and guides at the Harbor 360 Hotel, and venture to the docks to board the beautiful vessel with heated indoor cabins and outdoor viewing areas. Your experienced captain will guide you through Resurrection Bay with notable highlights including, Cape Resurrection, Thumb Cove, Humpy Cove, a Bird Rookery and a Stellar Sea Lion Haul Out, and the El Dorado Narrows. You’ll also see Bear Glacier, which is the largest glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park! This “Captain’s Choice” route may vary based on the wildlife and weather conditions, but don’t worry, whichever route you take, the views will not disappoint! Complimentary beverages like coffee, tea, and water will keep you warm and hydrated on those chilly days on the water. No need to worry about bringing your binoculars; they have plenty onboard for guests to use so you won’t miss out on any of the action.

The 4-Hour Kenai Fjords Wildlife Cruise is fantastic for the entire family, and will leave you in awe of the wonders you’ve seen on the water!

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I See a Glacier on this Cruise?

Depending on the weather, you may see Bear Glacier, which is the largest glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park. Bear Glacier is a piedmont/valley glacier that ends in a freshwater lake. While the face of the glacier ends 4 miles beyond the shoreline, it is visible from a distance along our route if weather permits. You may also view alpine glaciers perched high in the mountains!

Will I See Any Whales on this Cruise?

While we cannot guarantee whale sightings, our captains are out there every day and know the wildlife hot spots to give our guests the best chances of viewing whales. On average, we see whales on 75% of our 4 Hour Kenai Fjords Wildlife Cruises between June and mid-August. The more time you are on the water, the greater your chances are of seeing whales!

Will I Get Seasick on this Cruise?

Since you'll be cruising the calmer, protected waters of Resurrection Bay, the likeliness of seasickness is typically low. If you are prone to seasickness, we recommend taking motion sickness medication before the cruise. This medication is available for purchase at the check-in office and onboard the cruises.

Is a Meal Included on this Cruise?

There is no meal included on this cruise. A snack bar is included onboard, and you are welcome to bring your own food with you. Glass containers and personal alcohol are not permitted.
