Enjoy the stunning backdrops as your experienced boat captain and onboard naturalists safely guide and educate you on the national park and local wildlife, and answer any questions you may have. Watch for falling ice as you experience the unforgettable opportunity to see two active tidewater glaciers, making this tour your top choice for glacier viewing!

After meeting at the Harbor 360 Hotel, your captain and tour guides will lead you down to the marina to get you started on your adventure. Once out on the water, you’ll enjoy great views of Holgate and Aialik Glaciers, which are massive and serene, and you will feel the power of them as you cruise by. Frequently Asked Questions

Will I see Any Whales on this Cruise?

The captains are extremely knowledgeable and visit areas considered “wildlife hotspots”, so whale sightings are highly likely. Approximately 90% of 7.5 Hour Kenai Fjords National Park Cruises see whales. The captains are professionals and communicate with each other about whale patterns and behaviors every day!

Will I see Glaciers on this Cruise?

You will! You’ll see two tidewater glaciers in Aialik Bay. Depending on the weather, you may also see Bear Glacier, which is the largest glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park.

Is Food and Drink Provided?

Yes, a deli-style lunch is provided, as well as complimentary coffee, tea, and water. Additional snacks and beverages are available for purchase.

Is this Tour Wheelchair Accessible?

The first deck inside cabin is wheelchair accessible. The outside viewing desks are not wheelchair accessible. If there are guests using wheelchairs in your group, please let us know at the time of booking.

Will I get Seasick on this Cruise?

As this tour crosses through the Gulf of Alaska for a short time, there is a higher chance of seasickness due to the open waters. If you are prone to seasickness, we recommend taking motion sickness medication before the cruise. This medication is available for purchase at the check-in office and onboard the cruises.

Can I take the Train and do this Cruise on the Same Day?

If you are taking the train from Anchorage to Seward, you will not make it to the 9:30 AM cruise on time. You could take the train AFTER the cruise from Anchorage back to Seward!

What Should I Wear?

We recommend close-toe shoes, a waterproof jacket, and long pants. You can bring a bag with you with extra layers (and snacks, too, if you’d like).
