Departing from Seward’s Harbor 360 Hotel, you will be transported down to the marina and hop on your smaller, 60-person vessel for a more intimate cruise experience. Your knowledgeable captain will be your guide and educate you throughout the tour, and happily answer any questions. As you make your way offshore, the captain will guide you through the Gulf of Alaska into the calmer waters of the Northwestern Fjord. Being on the water offers excellent chances for wildlife sightings, including humpback whales, orca whales, Stellar sea lions, harbor seals, and much more! For birders, be prepared to see thousands of native seabirds and their rookeries. Enjoy views of the Anchor and Ogive Glaciers as you take in the beauty of Alaska. Are Children Allowed on this Cruise?
Due to the length of this cruise, children under 12 are not permitted. We use a smaller, 60-passenger vessel for this cruise that travels farther into Kenai Fjords National Park and spends the most amount of time in the open ocean. Our age restrictions are in place for your safety and enjoyment of the cruise, and unfortunately, there are no exceptions. Our goal is to provide a quality experience for all ages and children are allowed on all other cruises.
What is the Difference between this Cruise and the other Cruises?
This cruise provides the unique experience of traveling on a smaller vessel with limited capacity. It offers a more intimate wildlife and scenery viewing experience as you explore a remote area not visited on any of our other tours. This cruise is ideal for birders and photographers! While we can’t guarantee whale sightings, this 8.5 hour cruise offers the best chances for whale watching, with a 95% chance of seeing whales. You'll also view three active tidewater glaciers, the most glacier viewing of any of our cruises!
Is a Meal Served on this Cruise?
Yes, we offer a complimentary deli-style lunch on this cruise. We also have a snack bar onboard, and you are more than welcome to bring your own food with you. Glass containers and personal alcohol are not permitted.
Will I see any Glaciers on this Cruise?
Yes, this cruise visits three active tidewater glaciers in Northwestern Fjord. Depending on weather, you may also see Bear Glacier, which is a piedmont glacier and the largest glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park, along with alpine glaciers perched high in the mountains.
