Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear?
Because the temperature at the glacier is quite cold, it is essential to dress warmly and in layers to ensure your safety and comfort. We recommend long pants, a hat, mid-height athletic socks, and sunglasses! Additionally, we will provide you with glacier boats and rain and windproof jackets and pants. Remember to bring your camera to capture the breathtaking views!
Will the pilot get out with us?
Definitely! Your pilot will be your guide throughout your helicopter tour, including your time spent on the glacier. This ensures that you will have an unforgettable, personalized experience.
What if I need extra help on the tour?
Your pilot will be with you throughout the tour, so they will be more than happy to assist whenever necessary. If you require additional support, please do not hesitate to contact us before your tour so that we can discuss your specific needs.
What kind of wildlife can I expect to see?
This is not a wildlife viewing tour, so there is no guarantee that you will see any wildlife. However, Dall sheep, caribou, and moose are often seen in the area. You may even be fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of a bear! With some luck, you could be rewarded with a spectacular wildlife sighting.
How many passengers can fit in a single helicopter?
Each helicopter can safely accommodate up to six passengers, provided the weight and balance calculations are within the aircraft's parameters designed to ensure everyone's safety and comfort. Consequently, the number of passengers and their seating arrangements will be determined by the crew. If you wish to fly with more passengers or want more control over who sits where, please contact us before.
What happens if the weather is too bad to fly?
If the weather is just not cooperating and the pilots determine that it’s too bad to fly, we’ll do our best to reschedule you to a later time of day that works for you. If you choose not to reschedule or we can’t find a time that works for you, we will refund you.
Can children come on the tour?
This tour is suitable for all ages, but the minimum age for this tour is 2 years old.
